Even after you receive it, that doesn't mean you'll keep it!
So I had gone through a (Legal Name) change and got my new California (ID) with my new name on it, I was excited because everything that was tied in with my new life was in my new name, besides the DMV gal who had taken my picture had done a GREAT JOB! The pic on my new (ID) was the BEST PIC OF ME ANYONE had ever seen and I LOVED it, I wanted to frame it!
Time marched on as it always does, I did my thing and I received a letter in the mail from the (DMV)?
Wondering what this was about I opened it and read that they wanted me to RETURN the (ID)?
The "reason" they gave in the letter was that the name change was "INVALID"?
Now this was the third time I had dealt with these people and I was BEYOND the verge of "SCREAMING" and "being" an "IRRATE, CRAZY WOMAN"! "Monkeys" could do a BETTER JOB than the idiots they employed down at that particular (DMV) where I had gone to to get the new (ID)! That was a "COMPLIMENT" with the idiocay and lunacy I had dealt with the past two times I had gone through this process already!
So I got on the phone and gave them a call to see what the issue was?
ME - "Yes, I'm calling about the letter I received, it said that my name change is "invalid" and that I needed to return the (ID)"?
MADMAN - "Yes, that is correct. The reason is your doctor did NOT put her (License Number) on the paperwork, so we cannot recognize the name change until a new form is submitted"!
ME - "That CAN'T BE! I had her write her license number in (3) different locations on the form! This is NOT my first rodeo, this is the third time I've gone through this process with you guys, I made sure every single line on that form was completely filled out, every "T" crossed, every "I" dotted! There has to be a mistake on your end, look at the form again"!
MADMAN - "NO, I'm sorry, I do not have acess to that, but if this is what the compuer is telling me. If you resubmit it again, we would be glad to process it for you".
ME - "I'll do one better, because I have a copy of that form and so does my doctor, we'll see where you made the mistake and how that form was filled out "COMPLETELY" and "CORRECTLY", license number included!"
They wanted me to return the (ID)? There was NO way in hell I was gonna do that, everything was tied into my new life from paperwork for my business to my bank accounts were all tied into my new name and I wasn't about to return the (ID), it wasn't going to happen!
Time marched on and my new ID expired, I ended up having to give up the ID in order to get a new one in my old name because they're insistent that the paperwork for the "Legal Name Change" was invalid. NOW I'm waiting for a copy of the form that was sent in a long with other paper work from the DMV.
This has been a long ongoing fight with the system because of my work as I'm a published author and have slowly been exposing ALL the corruption, evil and villany within our government, coporations and institutions that once long ago we believed in!

Issue 2
How to NOT get what you paid for when dealing with a Madman!
So my (Colorado) (ID) had expired and I needed to get my (Birth Certificate) because I was a resident of California now. I was in the process of going through a legal name change and also needed the (ID) for my business to show when signing legal paperwork which needed to be notarized.
So I loged onto the the (Department of Vital Statistics and Records - Colorado Springs/Colorado) to get my birth certificate. I submitted my information and paid the "$50" fee of which I received confirmation that they had received my order and my birth certificate was on its way estimated to arrive in two weeks. I saved the information as a reciept of my order.
I recieved confirmation that my credit card had been debited for "$50" by the (Department of Vital Statistics and Records/Colorado Springs/Colorado) and so I waited. Two weeks and a couple days passed, NO birth certificate? I decided maybe they were running a little behind and hand their hands full so I gave it a couple more days.
Three weeks and a few more days had passed so I called to inquire about my order?
ME - "Yes I'm calling about my order, I have NOT received my birth certificate yet and it's been almost a month".
MADMAN - "Yes, you shoud have called us sooner, how can I help you"?
ME - "I'm calling about my order, I haven't received it yet"! It's been almost a month, so I need to know has it been sent out yet"?
MADMAN - "Let me take down your information and the confirmation number so we can see what's going on"?
So I gave the Madman my information verifying my mailing address and the (confirmation number) that verifies that I placed an order.
MADMAN - "Yes I see that NOTHING has been sent out".
ME - "Well what's the delay, what happened"?
PAUSE
ME - "How come it hasn't been sent yet"?
MADMAN - "Let me put you on hold, just a second".
After a a minute passed Madman returns.
MADMAN - "You'll need to speak with a supervisor, let me transfer you".
Before I could reply or say anything Madman placed me on hold to transfer the call. I heard a beep and a click and the next thing I know the line went dead. So I hung up and dialed the number back.
ME - "Yes I'm calling about my order, I never received it".
MADMAN - "Okay let me verify your information and get the confirmation number".
I gave the new Madman my information and the confirmation number.
MADMAN - "Just a second I need to look at this record, hold".
Once again before I could say anything Madman placed me on hold. A minute later he came back on the line.
MADMAN - "I see what the issue is and see that it was never sent out".
ME - "Why, what's the hold up"?
MADMAN - "The issue is you never placed an order".
ME - "What...how can that be I have the "confirmation number" and confirmation from my credit card, you took my "$50" dollars, there has to be a mistake"?
MADMAN - "No, No mistake on our end, maybe there was a glitch, did you place the order online because it happens sometimes".
ME - "Yeah I placed it online, but I can't see how a "glitch" can happen when I have both the "confirmation number" from you and confirmation from my credit card for the debit. I mean my "$50" went somewhere, it didn't just vanish"?
MADMAN - "Like I said, probably a glitch, happens all the time. I'd call your credit card company for a refund or maybe the mistake was on their end"?
So after the pleasantries I called my credit card company and they told me that the transaction on "said date" had NOT occurred?
There was NO (record) of a transaction for that date?
This was starting to get "BIZARE" because I have my credit card linked to my cell phone and when a transaction takes place I immediately get a text message confirming the debit and always at the end of an online transaction I save the webpage to my computer as a "safety net" just in case!
Someone was "WRONG" some where and I KNEW IT WASN'T ME! I pulled up the copy of the webpage I had saved and there it was the transaction saved and I looked at my cell phone and there it was debit on "said date" for "$50"?
So in the course of (18) months I placed (9) orders for (Birth Certificates) costing me a total of ($450) for orders that were confirmed on their end being the (Department of Vital Statistics and Records/Colorado Springs/Colorado) and on my phone verifying that each and every order had been received with my debit card being debited for ($50) in each and every transaction!
One order had actually been received by the (Health Department) in which I have NO idea how an order for a (Birth Certificate) was placed with them? (I did receive a very strange but apologetic email for the "mistake"?) in which they refunded my ($50)?
Another order was placed through one of those (3rd Party Companies) to aquire my (Birth Certificate) but again I NEVER received my order and NO refund was ever issued!
So I played this game with the (Department of Vital Statistics and Records/Colorado Springs/Colorado) for almost (2) years trying to get my (Birth Certificate) in which (9) orders had been placed for ($450) total (though I did receive a refund from the (Health Department) for ($50)?
I evetually recieved my (Birth Certificate) (2) years and (3) months later, but by then I had spent ($450) for orders that were NEVER sent out! Each and every time I called "Dealing with a Madman" in each and every case they either gave me the run around or would transfer me (and in the middle of the transer the line would go dead!)
This did NO include the "CRIPLING AFFECT" upon my business because I was unable to get "Legal Paperwork" notorized (which requires ID) to process and the money I had spent on the "Legal Name" change!

Dealing with a Madman Issue 1
So the mail came in and there was the usual ads and want to sign up for this, that or the other which got chucked into trash. The bills got put aside into the inbox, but something caught my eye which I immediately opened and called the number, what follows is the conversation with the "Madman":
ME - "Hi, I'm calling about this "Student Loan" because, well I have some questions about it and need to know what's going on with this"?
MADMAN - "Okay if you'll give me the "reference number" we can get started"?
ME - "It's (_________)."
MADMAN - "All right, so what are we going to do about this"?
ME - "That's the reason for my call, this is NOT my "LOAN", I've NEVER been in (Illinois), NEVER lived there and NEVER went to college there and I certainly DON'T recall signing up for a "student loan" for "X" amount of dollars, that's for sure, I think I would have remembered that"!
MADMAN - "Can I have you name"?
ME - "NO"!
MADMAN - "I can't help you if I DON'T know your name"?
ME - "Look at your computer screen, now I'm looking at this letter from you, you have the "reference number" so it has all my information there right, that is if you have the "RIGHT PERSON" or do you just send out letters randomly hoping someone will reply"?
MADMAN - "I don't understand"?
ME - "Well you should have a name there right on your computer screen? There should be an address and the "supposed" loan informatin right? Or do you just hand these things out to anyone who comes along like "Playing Cards"?
MADMAN - "Well Yeah, I mean, what I mean is I have to verify your information"?
ME - "You ALREADY have my information, like I said you contacted me about "said loan"...are you NOT the "XYZ Collection Agency"?
MADMAN - "Yes, that's correct".
ME - Your address is..."__________"?
MADMAN - "Yeah that's correct".
ME - "So why are you sending me these letters about a "Student Loan" I NEVER took out? Why are you calling looking for who ever? I didn't seek you out, unless whatever agency hands these "LOANS" out does NOT know who they're giving it too, see"?
MADMAN - "I don't follow you"?
ME - "What name do you have there on your computer screen"?
MADMAN - "It's "___________", is this you"?
ME - "How is it spelled"...because it's INCORRECT here on this letter you sent me, also the (DATE OF BIRTH) and (SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER) is incorrect"?
MADMAN - "How is your name spelled"?
ME - "I'm NOT going to give you that information! You sought me out, you sent this letter to me. Like I said, you've been calling here looking for "whoever"! You claim this is my debt, if your information on your computer is NOT "CORRECT" then it kind of sounds like you DON'T have the right person"?
MADMAN - "Well, how is it spelled on the letter"?
ME - "Incorrectly".
MADMAN - "Can I have the correct spelling of your name"?
ME - "You have that information and I think I've made that clear"! I told you the name on this letter, the spelling is "INCORRECT", this means you have the wrong person"! The (DATE OF BIRTH) is INCORRECT, the (SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER) is INCORRECT, sounds like you guys made a mistake"?
MADMAN then preceeded to locate a supervisor and put him on the phone and the same useless exchange of communication preceeded.
The name on the (Letter) and the letters I've received from various collection agency's over the years (attempting to STICK ME with this loan) is and has ALWAYS BEEN a "Butchered Version" of my name!
The (DATE OF BIRTH) and (SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER) is and has ALWAYS BEEN INCORRECT!
I've made numerous calls to these collection agency's over the years I've been dealing with this "Debt" I CLEARLY DON'T owe!
This was a (Collection Agency) I had called who obviously was ONLY trying to PIN this loan on me instead of REALIZING they had the "WRONG PERSON" and so I was eventually referred to the Student Loan Department. So I called them and this is what their (Agent) told me:
I spoke with a man there extensively about what's going on there at the (Student Loan Department) the man who had been on the job for (49) years had this to say to me:
AGENT WITH (STUDENT LOAN CENTER) - "We must get about (750) calls an hour or more, from people asking about their student loans, it's crazy because (37%) of them are like you, calling about loans they never took out!
I believe you, it's probably true, here's why! I've been here for the past (49) years, going to retire soon. I'm an old man, I'm (68) years old been on this job forever! Back in the day they use to find the person, the "REAL PERSON" who legitimately owed the debt and worked out a plan for payment of the loan.
These youngsters that work here now, they're lazy, they DONT want to do the leg work anymore! So let's say your name is "Greg Jones" for instance and you took out a loan, LEGITIMATELY. If they CAN'T find the "REAL" (Greg Jones) who owes the debt, they look for ANY "Greg Jones" out there and they stick that guy with the debt!
We have the data bases here, (IRS), (Credit Reporting Agencies) it's ALL here, we're the government.
Oh my God, it gets worse, (53%) of the calls I take every day are from students who are getting billed for classes or materials they NEVER took or signed up for! I believe them, because I've been on the job for (49) years, it's like these universities just want to make money on these kids trying to get an education!"
So I've been fighting with these (Collection Agency's) and the (Student Loan Center) for over a decade now on a loan I NEVER took out!
A loan that originated in a state I've NEVER been too or have lived in, in my entire life!
A loan where the name is (Mispelled), specifically the (Last Name)!
A loan where the (DATE OF BIRTH) is INCORRECT!
A loan where the (SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER) is INCORECT!
Lastly a loan where they refuse to provide ANY document that shows (My Information) along with the (Date) the loan was taken out and (My Signature) most of all!
So it sounds like the (Agent) from the (Student Loan Center) was CORRECT that if your name is "Common" you could become the target for "SOMETHING" simply because they are unwilling to do their job and find the "RIGHT PERSON", the "REAL PERSON" who owes the debt!
Corruption ABOUNDS in our country My Friends and one day you, yourself will find that "YOU" are dealing with a "MADMAN"!
